LWDM Filter (Low-Density Wavelength Division Multiplexing Filter) is an Optical Communication Filter developed by MULTI IR based on the standard of LWDM Filter - Low-Band Wavelength Division Multiplexing Filter. Its core positioning is to "balance transmission capacity and cost", providing a cost-effective solution for medium-capacity scenarios. The product adopts an optimized dielectric thin film structure, supporting the filtering of 8-12 channels of wavelengths (1270-1330nm or 1525-1575nm), with a channel spacing of 200GHz, insertion loss ≤ 0.35dB, and isolation ≥ 32dB. Its performance is between CWDM and DWDM, and the cost is only 60%~70% of that of DWDM products. This product is compatible with mainstream optical modules such as SFP+ and QSFP, with a wavelength tolerance of ±0.3nm, meeting the precision requirements of medium-capacity scenarios; at the same time, it has industrial-grade environmental adaptability, stable optical performance in the temperature range of -40℃~85℃, and adopts a miniaturized package (2×2mm) to adapt to high-density integration of equipment; combined with MULTI IR's brand technology (MULTI IR Optech), it can be compatible with CWDM/DWDM systems, supporting smooth expansion, and providing a flexible wavelength division multiplexing solution for metropolitan area networks and enterprise networks.

    Application Field

This product is mainly applied to the edge layer of operators' metropolitan area networks, supporting multi-service transmission of small and medium-sized users in the region and balancing capacity and cost; in medium-sized enterprise networks, it is compatible with the interconnection links between the headquarters and branch offices, meeting the medium bandwidth needs of ERP systems, video conferences and cloud office; at the same time, it is suitable for non-core links of data centers (such as backup links and office network links), reducing the construction cost of data centers; in addition, in the communication networks of smart parks and smart cities, it can realize the combined data transmission of security monitoring, environmental monitoring and intelligent equipment, and is the preferred component in "medium-capacity-low cost" optical communication scenarios.
